Sunscreen

Sure, you see beauty queens with their beautiful skin glowing romping on many of the world’s famous beaches. But like “ordinary” women, beauty queens are human with human skin.

Too much exposure to the sun’s intense rays can be very damaging to (especially fair) skin, and beauty queens are more prone to this as they may be required to stay under the sun for long periods of time during photo shoots.

The best way to alleviate, if not totally prevent skin damage is by applying a good dose of sunscreen. It should have a minimum SPF (sun protection factor) rating of 15 to prevent very nasty sun burns and other skin damages. For best results, apply sunscreen at least 20 minutes before going outside. This is to give the active ingredients in the formula a chance to be absorbed.
